    The theory of single and multi-degree-of-freedom systems with an introduction to continuous systems. Determination of equations of motion, including natural frequency for free vibration and amplitude of forced vibration.     First of a two-course design sequence constituting a capstone design experience. Student multidisciplinary teams prepare a project proposal or SOQ, generate a morphological study of their project and prepare project plans and specifications. Project management methods are also presented. Prerequisites: ME 3010, ME 3170, and ME 3360.
