    This course is an introductory-level course designed to investigate the role of digital media in art and visual literacy. Students will gain experience with basic graphics software, explore the use of the Internet for research and communication, and discuss topics related to graphic design, contemporary art, and digital culture. Students will have nearly 24/7 access to a computer lab with current design software used as the industry standard. They will develop technical and critical thinking skills while learning how to construct and manipulate digital images. These skills will also be used to create a web-based portfolio.
