    In this course students will be introduced to, and will analyze the formal elements of fiction, such as theme, plot, character, setting, tone, and so on. Students will experience these basic elements as both part of their own process of writing fiction and their understanding of fiction as a finished product--their own, or that of others. The course involves participation in the "creative writng workshop," where fellow artists constructively critique one another's work.
