Neurologic Diseases: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Approaches, 3 hrs.Use lectures, student presentations and discussions to learn about impacts, molecular mechanisms and prospects for effective therapy of some important neurologic diseases of man and animals. Disorder we will study will include chronic traumatic encephalopathy, Alzheimer's disease, prion diseases, stroke and epilepsy. Cross listed with NEUR 5160. Prerequisites: Courses in neuroanatomy and biochemistry; graduate level standing.
