The basic concepts, processes and technology of biofeedback and self-regulation are examined in lectures and laboratory activities. Emphasis is on electromyographic, electroencephalographic and cardiovascular control. Gastrointestinal and visual activity are included. Instrumentation, current research, clinical applications, and the role of cognitive process are examined. Laboratory 2 hours per week. Prerequisite: 9 hours in psychology or related biological fields.
