Studies communication disorders related to cleft lip and palate disorders and associated craniofacial sequences and syndromes. Assessment and treatment of these communication disorders is presented in the context of interdisciplinary management. Surgical and nonsurgical treatment procedures employed to manage speech problems associated with velopharyngeal insufficiency are included. Prerequisite: SPPA 3260, SPPA 2210, or consent of instructor.
