An introduction to the polymer technology, with emphasis on the synthesis of polymeric materials and on the polymerization processes. Applications will cover commodity polymers such as polyolefins, and advanced materials, such as nanomaterials, aerospace materials and biomaterials for drug delivery, artificial skin and organs. Dual Listed with CHE 4170. Prerequisite: CHEM 2340 or CHEM 2440, graduate standing.
