In this course students will focus on techniques and theory necessary for the evaluation and treatment of the critical care patient, including arterial blood gas analysis and hemodynamic measurements as they relate to the physiologic effects of advanced mechanical ventilation in the respiratory compromised patient. Students will also examine various diagnostic testing modalities that assess the overall health of a patient. This course will be offered in the spring semester.
