Introduction to Film & Video Game Music (2L, 2LB, 3CR) This course examines the history, musical elements, and musical styles of film and video game music. Beginning in the late 1800s with silent films and continuing to the present day, this course provides an overview of the major stylistic trends and musical influences that led to the development of film and video game scoring as a vital and living dramatic art form. Throughout the course, the interaction between sound, image, and narrative is explored.
