This class aims to introduce student to Europe and to better understand how notions of community and difference, territories and borders, security and identity and institutions are expressed in Europe. Class will emphasize the history of Europe across the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, but will also draw upon politics, geography, sociology, cultural studies and anthropology.
