Study of Computer Network hardware architecture, design and functionality. The course addresses IEEE wired and wireless network architectures, routers, gateways and other network components. System administration of Windows NT and 2000 based networks forms an important component of the course. Laboratory sessions include commercial hardware and performance analysis through simulations. Prerequisites: EE 2390 and EE 4440.
